Based in Berlin, Germany, EANTC is a test lab specializing in telecommunication technologies and offers vendor-neutral network testing services for manufacturers, service providers, and enterprise customers.   In this role, Carsten has over 20 years of experience in telecommunication networks testing and is responsible for EANTC's business development and marketing. His technical areas of expertise include Network Functions Virtualization and transport network solutions.

Principal Technology Strategist, Spirent Communications

Marc Cohn is Principal Technology Strategist for Virtualization at Spirent. He is responsible for qualifying opportunities that leverage Spirent’s testing/assurance core competencies in SDN, NFV, and automation.   Marc created and lead the MEF SD-WAN Certification Program, working closely with MEF. He was appointed Co-Chair of the MEF Certification Committee (2019-20), and is leads the MEF Security Test and Certification Incubation Group. Marc also authors the MEF SD-WAN Insider Blog on AvidThink.   Recognised as a thought leader for the open SDN/NFV movement, he has held senior leadership roles in the Open Networking Foundation, ETSI NFV ISG, and open source networking projects: OPEN-O (Executive Director), OpenDaylight (Silver Level Board Representative), and PNDA.   Prior to joining Spirent, Marc held senior executive roles for innovative NFV/SDN market leaders such as EnterpriseWeb, the Linux Foundation, ClearPath Networks, among others.   Marc also served as Editor for the industry's most important SDN/NFV publications including the original ONF SDN White Paper, NFV Insider Blog (SDxCentral) on behalf of the ETSI NFV ISG leadership and the Linux Foundation Harmonization White Paper.   Marc earned a MS EE degree from the University of Southern California, where he was a Hughes Fellow, and also received the first Computer Engineering degree granted by the University of Missouri.

Amit Singh, Chief Business Officer, Palo Alto Networks

As chief business officer, Amit focuses on strategic customer relationships that span the company’s Strata, Prisma and Cortex security platforms. Prior to joining Palo Alto Networks in 2018, Amit held several roles at Google, including founding and building Google's Cloud business. In this capacity, he worked to help companies move to Cloud-based services like Gmail, Google Docs and the entire Cloud platform suite. He also led business and operations for Google's AR and VR efforts. Prior to Google, Amit spent 20 years at Oracle in various product, engineering, sales and strategy roles.   Amit holds a master’s degree in industrial and management engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering.

Saurabh Sandhir, VP and General Manager, Nuage Networks from Nokia

Saurabh leads the team at Nuage Networks, bringing over 16 years of experience leading cross-functional engineering, product management and marketing teams focused on networking software products.  Most recently, Saurabh was Head of Technology Strategy, CTO office at Ericsson. Prior to his role at Ericsson, Saurabh held a variety of leadership roles during his 13-year tenure at Juniper Networks. He was the head of the NFV platform product line for both engineering and product management functions. Saurabh also headed the Network Programmability (Junos SDK) product line at Juniper and the development of the industry’s first network API toolkit for developers. This group was also instrumental in defining the marketing blueprint for the introduction of software products in a thus so far hardware centric industry.   Saurabh played key roles in building Juniper’s SDN partner and channel programs and defining the SDN architecture/strategy leading to the acquisition of Contrail Systems.  Saurabh has an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, a Masters in Computer Science from Purdue University and an MBA from University of California, Berkeley.

Stefano is currently responsible for Cisco’s SD-WAN and SASE business in EMEA. During his IT career of over 20 years, he has held positions in engineering, product management, business development and international sales leadership.   Stefano holds a master’s degree in electronics engineering from Politecnico di Torino (Italy) and Ecole Centrale Paris (France), an Executive MBA from IESE business school in Barcelona (Spain).

Unified SASE Needs SD-WAN
There is confusion in the market, with vendors who only offer one part of a solution, the SSE (FWaaS, SWG, CASB, ZTNA) part of SASE, claiming that this is all you need. That the network is no longer critical. Showing how this approach is just plain wrong, for reasons of performance, observability and the customer experience.

Ferréol is Cisco's Global Sales Leader for their Unified SASE Solution. Prior to this role, he held multiple sales and leadership positions in France and the US for Cisco and other industry leaders, with one mission - to always Simplify IT.


Hector Avalos, VP Sales EMEA, Versa Networks

Hector Avalos has 30 years of experience in the computing, networking and telecommunications industries. He currently holds the position of VP EMEA at Versa Networks.   His current activities are focused on SASE & SDWAN solutions for Service Providers and Enterprises.   Prior to Versa Networks, Hector worked at Ericsson, Juniper Networks, 3Com and Proteon. Hector holds a Master of Computing Science from ‘UDLA’ Mexico.


Mike Walker, Head of Business Development, Nuage Networks from Nokia

Mike leads the Business Development team at Nuage Networks. Mike brings a passion for service excellence and growth, with over 25 years in the IT and Telecom Services industries.   Most recently Mike led the Enterprise Service Management team at TELUS. Utilizing his experience in customer service and customer delivery, his team developed and rolled out a national customer experience management program, resulting in improved customer satisfaction and growth. As well, his teams were directly accountable for the implementation of the largest and most complex outsourcing contracts nationally.  Prior to his role at TELUS, Mike spent 7 years with EDS where he was responsible for the revitalization of the North American Web-Hosting and Enterprise Storage service lines, along with leading Service Management for eastern Canada.


Franck Morales, VP Evolution Platform, Orange Business Services

With more than 35 years of experience in the B-to-B telecommunications industry focused on managing strategic industry partnerships, Franck Morales has extensive knowledge of the global telecom ecosystem.   For nearly ten years, Franck led the Orange Business Services connectivity portfolio and was instrumental in the company’s global transformation toward SD-WAN, orchestration, and virtualization.   Franck is a proven leader on product and strategic planning for both fixed and mobile technologies, which paved the way for his recent appointment to Vice President, Evolution Platform. This is a new strategic program focused on building the future orchestrated cloud-native infrastructure for our customers to ensure the delivery of real business outcomes.   Franck is a frequent and requested speaker promoting Orange and the MEF at global industry conferences, including MEF Quarterly meetings, SD-WAN Summit and other industry partner events.
