Stephen DiAdamo,
Research Scientist, Cisco

Dr. Stephen DiAdamo has been a research scientist at Cisco in Germany since 2021 with a focus on quantum network design and simulation. He has degrees in computer science from the University of Toronto and mathematics from the Technical University of Munich.  He completed his PhD from the Technical University of Munich in electrical engineering with a focus on entanglement assisted quantum network and distributed quantum computing.  He maintains various open-source quantum network simulation frameworks and is currently building a quantum network development kit to simplify simulating quantum networks.

Martin Ward,

Martin Ward is a Senior Research Scientist for Toshiba Europe working in their Cambridge Research Laboratory in the UK. He received a DPhil in Physics from the University of Oxford and has over 15 years of research experience on quantum photonic sources, quantum optics and quantum key distribution, including electrically driven quantum dot single photon emission and entangled photon pair sources at telecom wavelengths.  He is currently Chair of ETSI ISG QKD and is also involved in QKD standards within ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27/WG 3, and ITU-T.

Teun van der Veen, Senior Consultant, TNO

Teun is senior consultant in the business unit ICT, Strategy and Policy at TNO. He is Quantum Communications lead within the Networks research group: 75 people working on future network services and networked applications.   He has several activities in the field of quantum networks, dedicated to making these applicable in practice. As member of the core team Quantum Internet enabled by Space, he helps to shapes the roadmap launched by TNO in 2024. He is liaison to the Quantum Delta NL programme where he managed the starting phase of the Dutch EuroQCI project (QCINed). Notably, the cooperation with QDNL led to widely referenced white papers on Supply Chains for Quantum technology.   Before exploring the fascinating world of quantum networks, he headed various R&D programmes on classical networks in the Dutch and European media & telecom markets, and represented TNO in ETSI, ITU-T and the Broadband Forum.   Teun enjoys bringing experts and views together to create new possibilities on the forefront of technology. He holds an MSc degree in Applied Physics from the University of Twente, The Netherlands, and started his career as a photonics chip designer.

  Jean-Sébastien joined ID Quantique in 2018, participating in business development in the Quantum Security division, which develops next-generation Quantum-Safe solutions, and especially quantum key distribution systems. Before joining Telefónica he spent some years in the academic sector, dedicated to research on network services, and was appointed member of the High-Level Expert Group on Scientific Data Infrastructures by the European Commission.   Diego is currently focused on applied research in network infrastructures, with a special emphasis on virtualization, data-driven management, new architectures, security, and quantum communications.
