IMS supports dual stack towards Access Networks and internally, so operators can deploy IPv6 end to end. In case of a mix of clients using IPv4 and IPv6, IMS supports different configurations about how to handle IP addresses (e.g. convert from IPv4 to IPv6, from IPv6 to IPv4, or the preferred if possible, do not convert).
