Application Awareness
As more and more applications move to the cloud there is a unique opportunity in which enterprises are looking for agile, secure and assured networks to gain access to public and private clouds. Additionally, the networking industry is undergoing a complete retooling in which networks worldwide are transforming themselves into Software Defined Networks (SDN) with Network Function Virtualization (NFV). In order to operate SDN and NFV networks end-to-end, Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) is becoming a key technology to deliver a modernized cloud-like orchestration system in which the workflow process mitigates away from manual human operations to machine-to-machine automation. As part of this LSO automation many enterprises have expressed a desire to understand how applications perform from the enterprise to the cloud. They expect mission-critical cloud applications to have a high-quality of experience that are secured with a guaranteed level of service. Detailing out their requirements for an end-to-end programmable network for mission-critical cloud applications.
