Automotive Industry: Why the ITS Businesses Need to Care
about IPv6? |
Next generation of vehicles will soon be networked and will embed communication technologies in order to exchange safety, non-safety and infotainment information with other vehicles, the roadside and peers in the Internet
• IPv4 limitation and address space depletion
• Impact of IPv6 on ITS business
• Progress of ITS European projects developing around IPv6
• Progress of ITS standardization activities related to IPV6

Smart IPv6 Buildings |
The Smart IPv6 building project intends to explore this IPv6 potential in built environments. It provides an international platform for research, academic and industrial partners,- coordinated by Mandat International with the support of the IPv6 Forum. The Smart IPv6 building project will be deployed and tested in a real situation with an existing building.

Mobile NAT64: NAT64 for Client and Network-based Mobility
Describing how IPv6 only mobile nodes receiving network based mobility support using Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) can communicate with IPv4 only servers in unicast and multicast. The protocol is based on local mobility anchors (LMA) maintaining a table similar to NAT64 and linking it to the binding cache. Receiving multicast data from IPv4 only content providers is also possible using IP4/IPv6 translation.
